Appetite is one of my favorite albums of all time and this came out when I was in high school, a point when music was the most important thing of my life. This album was a game changer for me, the music was raw, the band had attitude and the songs were amazing. The album cover is classic as well, a large cross is featured as the focal point with each band member imagined as a skull in the center and points of the cross. The lettering runs down the left and right sides of the album. I wanted this album to pop so I started by adding black glitter fabric as appliqué for the background and then I stitched the lettering through the fabric in rayon thread. For the cross due to the detail I wanted to create it as a patch. The detail in the patch is incredible with over 25 colors of thread. Once the patch was finished I added a platform underneath it to raise it up over the background creating a more dimensional effect.
