The Evil Eye piece was inspired by the Hamsa, which has been one of my favorite pieces over the years. I was inspired by the traditional evil eye and decided to add more detail to this iconic symbol. There are multiple dimensions and layers to this piece. In the mandala around the eye you will find multiple symbols and talismans woven into the background pattern. Surrounding the Evil Eye are the moon phases in a cyclical pattern. The canvas for the Evil Eye was created by embroidering luxury shopping bags then hand trimming them and placing them into a pattern.
