Embroidery stitched directly through a vinyl record sleeve.

12x12x2 inches, framed in acrylic.

This was a commissioned piece from a diehard Sublime fan. The album features a picture of a back tattoo of the Sublime logo with a border of tropical flowers in black and white. I embroidered the background as well as the person in the photo in abstract wool embroidery. The lettering was stitched in black satin stitches. The border was created by first stitching and then laser cutting black fabric along the edge of the album cover. The tropical flowers were then stitched in white thread on top of it.

The albums take up to 8 hours to embroider and can contain over 200,000 stitches. The series is created and designed to be hung together so you can add to your installation wall as you discover new pieces I create. Each of the albums comes with a signed certificate and is framed in acrylic and measures 12" x 12" x 2".
