How are the Butterflies created?
Each butterfly is completely embroidered and hand trimmed in our North Carolina studio. Each of the butterflies were hand digitized created from photographs of butterfly breeds. The larger sizes have over 150,000 stitches and take a fully day to create. Once trimmed the butterflies are mounted on a molded acrylic base.
How are they mounted on the wall?
Each butterfly comes mounted and molded on an acrylic base that extends off of the wall for a breathtaking 3D view so the wings will look like they are in motion. I have developed a new hanging system that mounts to a wall using an easily removable standoff system. No electric tools are required, just a Philips head screwdriver. The butterflies are able to be turned and rearranged on the standoffs once they are installed.
Are they hard to install?
The new mounting kits are extremely easy to install. You can preview our installation video to see how it is done. The average 12 piece arrangement will take less than an hour to install. We include installation instructions and tips on how to install with each arrangement.
What colors and sizes do they come in?
There are over 25 different butterfly breeds offered and each comes in multiple sizes and color variations. Each butterfly is offered in 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” versions. The colors of the butterflies can be embroidered in their natural colors or in custom color pallets to complement your decor.
How can I purchase them?
The butterflies are sold in pre-made kits or individually as well. They are currently offered in 12 to 50 piece kits. The kits are created in different sizes and breeds that are designed to complement each other. You can also choose your butterflies one at a time and design your own arrangement. The most unique part of the butterfly swarms is that you can add more later to create larger installations.

Each butterfly is offered in 4 different sizes. Mix and match the different sizes for amazing installations>
New mounting system
Each butterfly is backed in twill for durability and mounted on a precision cut acrylic base. The base is curved so the butterfly is dimensional when it is mounted to the wall. All mounting hardware is included with the butterfly kits.
Template Kit
A complete set of paper templates are included with each order. The templates allow you to plan out your installation with ease.
