The song, “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2” where the line states, “We don’t need no education, we don’t need no thought control” was a pivotal lyric for me at the time. I was learning to play the guitar at the time and David Gilmore became my idol. Even though I wouldn’t understand the darker topics on the album for many years, I loved it nonetheless. For the embroidery I decided to embroider the wall itself in a discolored white yarn in an abstract brick pattern with a marbled grey yarn for the highlights. The lettering was also created in yarn in either black or red.
