This has always been one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands. This album was released in 1971, a year after I was born, I probably discovered the Stones when I was 8 or 9 years old. It wasn’t until much later, when such naiveté wore off andI learned about the controversy of the album cover as well as the fact that Andy Warhol was the artist that created the cover. I decided to embroider this in wool thread with meticulous shading in multiple shades of grey. There are so many stitches on this album that it is on the verge of falling apart from the amount of holes in the cardboard. This was the first album I created in the series as well as the first one to sell out.
